Diki Irdan: #LatePost Winning the LP3I National English Olympiad 2014 17

Good afternoon, seems more than two months i didn't open my blog. Here it is, this time i am gonna share you my own moment that was greatly happpened last month. :) @DikiIrdan

As what i used to said before that i really love english because this is an international language that i must learned to support my future, so i decided to accepted my lecturer's orders to represent my campus at LP3I National English Olympiad 2014 in Jakarta. At the early March 2014, Mr. Yuyun, an English lecturer in my campus asked me to join the english debate competition. As i heard that opportunity, directly i accepted the offer. But wait, who's gonna be my partner ? Few days later, Anggi Silviani, my classmates choosen to be my partner for the debating contest. As we became a team, we both intensively discussed everything related to the debate. Woow ! It's been really interesting because this is for my three times joining the debate contest and the first time for Anggi, but she was at Binus Asian English Olympic before for the story telling contest and that was great although she didn't make it.

A day before we go to Jakarta, we prepare our team so tightly intensive. At Dea's boarding house, we prepared the debate by doing the coaching that coached by Mr. Sukma, Mr. Oda and Mrs. Lai, they are our senior at our campus. Because the rules of the debating contest was not clear, so we did what we can red from the contest rules. I don't even know that there is a debating team that only consist two persons, but yes, it is exist. Our campus, sent five students to LP3I National English Olympiad, me and Anggi as the debating team, Joko from Infomatics Management for the IT contest, Danang from Accounting for the Accounting contest, and Dea Wulandari from Business Administration for the Speech Contest. We went to Jakarta at 05.00 am early in the morning with Mr. Hamdani as the Student Coordinator at LP3I Bandung Polytechnic.

The contest held very exciting, the first day we came there, we did a technical meeting. Three days in Jakarta, we slept at a simple hotel beside the LP3I Campus. From the window of my room there with Joko and Danang, i can saw a Monas Tower with a shiny colour at the night. I found a hard to sleep there, sometimes my friend Deni call me and Anggi by phone to give us a support. Thank God, we both made it. The debating team going through the final and me with Anggi got the third winner after competed with LP3I Karawang at the qualification session, then Surabaya at the quarter final and Balikpapan team at the final. But well, some of my friend were not lucky at that time, Dea as the speech contestant, Joko as the IT Contestant, and Danang as the Accounting contestant couldn't win the competition. But i think that's not really important because our main goal wasn't just to be a winner, we came here to find the new experiences for our future. We went home to Bandung with a big and full of smile, i really thanked to my God Allah SWT, my mom, my bestfriend, friends and my campus who always support our team as long we join the contest, and most importantly, to having a special dinner with Mr. Adriza, our Ex Director at LP3I Bandung, thats really amazing to tell everything that being occured in Bandung Branch. i want to tell you more and completely, but so many things to do,, so thanks for visiting my blog :) ...
