It has been an honor for Indonesia, my beautyful country to host Miss World Indonesia 2013, an International Beauty Contest last September where took place in Bali, Indonesia's Paradise Island. I used to watch this contest by tv station, it doesn't because i like the modelling but it is because of whole contestants from all over the globe are compete and you know what ? actually they need to speak ENGLISH to getting know each other and share about their own differences on cultures, traditions and habits of life.
This is why ENGLISH is very important. From the show, i can get the inspiration to speak english even better. The winner Miss World 2013 is Miss Philippines, Megan Young. She is a simple girl with a sweet smile and great charisma on the stage. Not only beautyful, but also she has the power to be Miss World since the Miss Philippines announced that this year the winner for Beauty Queen in Philippine is her. I knew it from the Indonesian Pageants post and the responds from the members that believe that Megan has the charisma to be the next Miss World and also she is a multi talented girl.
Young was born in Alexandria, Virginia, USA to a Filipino mother and American father. Her parents are Victoria and Calvin Young. She moved to Olongapo City, Philippines at age ten. She finished secondary education in Regional Science High School III in Subic Bay Freeport Zone and is currently taking a major in Digital Film Making at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, Manila.
As long as she joined the show of Miss World 2013 in Indonesia, she also got another special award for the Top Model, where she and the other contestants are wore the beauty evening gown which is made by Indonesia's Top designers who create the gown such a beauty of Indonesia. Megan wore the gown designed by Ayu Mirah and she look stunning with her catwalk and elegant smile !
When the day is come on September 28th, she lead the score on the scoreboard of Miss World 2013 from the top 20 until the top 6. And when the final question session, she answered the question so simple but full with a purpose. After the top 6 answered the question, all score from the judges are being calculated and Julia Moorley has stand on the stage to announce the winner of Miss World 2013.This is the time when everyone who witness are hope that their representative of top 6 winn the show. But, Moorley has the decission based on the judges score, the third or the second runner up got by Ghana, and the second or the first runner up got by France, and here it is, the winner of Miss World 2013 is Philippines !
After choosen and fixed being Miss World 2013, Megan is just a simple Megan, she is so very humble to be Miss World 2013 although there is the issue that she is no longer Miss World because of her topless photo that be a controversy for some side of peoples. And when the show end, she wasn't directly go back to her country but she must go to the London first to do her first activity as Miss World 2013 who have so many great and social activity for a year dedication time.
